Over the last 12 months, I’ve been called into two separate large-scale residential developments to resolve major issues with IP video intercom, access control, and CCTV systems that had not been designed or installed correctly from the outset.

A successful system begins at the design stage. Coordination between architects, M&E consultants, and security integrators is vital to avoid costly remedial works. The “cheap option” usually becomes the most expensive option later.
The cheapest quote at tender stage is very often the most expensive outcome over the lifecycle of the building.
